Rewilding, an exhibit sponsored by the Salisbury Association Land Trust, designed and presented by Elaine and Louis Hecht in collaboration with Shelley Harms
What is “rewilding”? It has come to describe conservation initiatives from backyard pollinator gardens to habitat corridors to entire ecosystems and their life-supporting functions. Rewilding is about allowing natural processes to shape and restore nature. Most important, rewilding is about the way we think – understanding that we are one species among many (as excerpted and edited from the Northwest Wilderness Trust’s Rewilding the Northeast). The exhibit, which runs through October, is open Tuesday through Saturday 10am – 1pm at the Academy Building, 24 Main Street (corner of Academy St.), Salisbury.
