Get Involved

The Salisbury Association is powered by people who care about our town — its land, its history, and its community life. Whether you have a few hours for a single event or want to dig into ongoing work with a committee, there’s a place for you here.

There are two easy ways to get involved:

1. Volunteer for an Event or Project

Prefer to pitch in when something catches your interest? Our volunteers help out on an ad hoc or part-time basis, any time of year — for a special project, a one-day event, or whatever activity speaks to you. No long-term commitment required.

2. Join a Committee

For those who want a more ongoing connection, our committees are where the Association’s work happens day to day. You don’t have to be on the Board of Trustees to be a committee member. Committee members are community volunteers who bring their skills, time, and interests to support our programs and initiatives. Participation depends on your interest, availability, and what’s currently needed.

We have four active committees a volunteer can join:

Volunteers are trained to monitor private land protected by conservation easements, as well as parcels the Association owns. On conserved properties, volunteers monitor, manage, and steward the land to protect key environmental benefits, build and maintain trails on properties open to the public, and help control invasive species.

Help bring Salisbury’s history to life by supporting exhibits, educational programs, and publications.

From large community gatherings to smaller local events and exhibits, this committee is always glad to have an extra pair of hands.

The Tree committee works to keep Salisbury looking its best — join the effort to beautify our shared spaces.
