Guided Mushroom Walk

Dave Patton will give an introductory talk and show various specimens before leading the group on a walk at Sugar Hill. He will focus on common and easy-to-identify species that are edible, toxic, and known to have medicinal properties. Dave has been foraging and writing about mushrooms for over 30 years and recommends bringing: hiking shoes, magnifying glass, camera or phone for photos, rain gear if weather is wet. After the walk, an honorarium is optional.

Sugar Hill Road is 0.4 miles north of the Amesville/Water Street bridge. Parking is next to the trailhead at the very end of the paved roadway. Preregister at 860-435-0566 or info@salisburyassociation.org.
