Bat Program and Count

Devaugh Fraser, a CT DEEP wildlife biologist and a specilalist in bats, will discuss the flying mammals that roost in the attics of the Scoville Memorial Library and the Academy Building and live throughout our region. She will begin her talk at SML, providing instructions and clickers to help count the bats on their nightly flight out of the AB. The group will walk the short distance from SML to AB about 8:00 and the count will begin a little before sundown (about 8:10 pm).

In case of rain on the Rain Date of July 28, the program will be held in the Wardell Room and not include a bat count. Participants should bring lawn chairs, bug spray, and flashlights.
