On permanent display are numerous artifacts of the local iron industry, including an 18th century cannon, an Ames Ironworks lithograph, and the Holley Manufacturing Company’s pocket knife display from the 1876 Centennial Exposition, plus historic portraits.
Significant artifacts were added to our iron industry collection thanks to a generous donation from the Perkins and Haas families. Included among the relics is a 1781 Salisbury iron “pig” and Revolutionary War era cannonball.
