Through vibrant colors, thoughtful composition, and a unique painting technique, I reveal the quiet drama of daily life and the essence of a place. My vivid hues reveal the soul and character and make intriguing what at first glance might seem to be an ordinary scene. Don Sexton received his B.A. in mathematics and studio arts. With Masters and Ph.D. degrees he was a full-time faculty member at Columbia University’s Business School for 50 years. Professional affiliations include The Kent Art Association in Kent, CT; The Washington Artists’ Association in Washington, CT; and the NY/CT/MA-based group 14th Colony Artists. 

Awards:  Sexton's works have won many awards such as best in show, awards for achievement in mixed media, award for general excellence, artist of the month at the Kent Art Association and the bronze gavel award and award in mixed media at Artwell in Torrington, CT.
